Welcome
I am Renee Schiller - Clark, I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I have a super great sense of humor (some times it can be really dry) and really enjoy having fun as well as bringing loads of information and experience in to my classrooms. I attended Redeemer Lutheran Elementary School, Burnet Jr. High and Anderson High School, having graduated in 1979. I attended Concordia Lutheran College and South West Texas State University, graduating in 1985, and going back in 2000 to obtain my teaching certification (by then it became Texas State). I am the only child, of parents, Ray and Magdaline Schiller. Who have celebrated their 70th year of marriage in June, 2016. Such a blessing!!!! Dad is a WWII Purple Heart Vet. So proud of his service! I am married to Jeff Clark since 1996. He is retired Navy 22 years. And is an architectural draftsman for an Austin based family-owned company that designs all the D.R. Horton homes. Having no biological children, I include in my extended family a step-daughter, Tiffany, her husband Jason, two grand-daughters, Grace (born 2010) and Emma (born 2015); a deceased grand-daughter, Avery, who was born in 2009 and passed away in 2014 from a car accident. We also have three cats and hundreds of guppies and gold fish in our outdoor pond. Jeff and I are extremely involved in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Auxiliary. Serving at the local, district and state levels as program chairman and officers. Both of us serve with TRUE PRIDE AND PATRIOTISM, supporting all our veterans and those currently serving our country. We are just starting, as of the 2016 calendar year, a 4 year commitment to the Ben Hur Shrine Temple and Shriners International. **You know those guys with the funny hats; Shrine Circus; Shriners Hospital for Children** I am proud to have worked for 23 years in the business world prior to going into the education industry. I feel with the background I have in business I can truly share with the students what it takes to "make it" in the world! I taught at Taylor Middle School for 11 years, where I was awarded Teacher of the Year for the State of Texas for the 2011-2012 school year. I spent 2 years at Bartlett High School during my student teaching and internship years, where I made numerous friends for life! This year, 2016, marks by 16th year in teaching, and I can't think of any place I would rather be than Connally High School. I look forward to staying with Connally until my retirement (which I hope does not come for quite some time!) |
